Martin’s visit
Tuesday, July 4th, 2000My nephew Martin called yesterday. He is coming over today to spend the day with me. I don’t know what we are going to do yet - but we’ll have fun.
Oh my, what a day! I found Martin the perfect hat (it used to be mine), talked him into eating a vegetarian lunch and showed him how to use my camcorder…
we did some running, a very hot sauna, swimming, sauna and even more swimming… had hamburgers and went for a stroll downtown, while Martin shot amazing pictures of motorcycles…
played pinball and arcade games wearing white hats…
And finally the long subway ride home to Dad. Alright!
Yesterday I found another C++ book online: C++ in action, by Bartoz Milewski. Some strong opinions, very clear writing and reads well. He is probably a good teacher in person.
